Last week I attended a wine tasting and 5 course meal at Mamma Mia! I was impressed with everything! Nice wine selection 🍷.Fantastic food! Portions are large and delicious. We had enough leftovers to feed the kids dinner. Excellent atmosphere and all the staff was friendly and smiling. Love the authenticity of the experience. Most of the staff was speaking Sicilian so it felt like we were in Europe. Looking forward to dining here again soon!
This restaurant is great for a family or birthday dinner! The atmosphere is great and truly feels like a family. My family went for my mom’s birthday and our waitress was extremely pleasant, even trying to exchange a few words in Spanish with me after I told her I knew a little. Before they started singing happy birthday and presented the dessert, she gave me a heads up to start recording so I didn’t miss anything. For anyone looking for a great Italian restaurant, or just a restaurant in general, Mamma Mia is a great choice!
Had family dinner here this week. The service was superb. My waitress was trilingual, impressive. Food was delicious and so was the dessert and coffee. I had chicken Marsala and a cannoli with cappuccino. Would recommend going there. I’ve been to the Apex location and this one is just as great!
Our first time to this restaurant and it’s nice inside. Owner greeted us warmly. We went in early and seated promptly. I asked for a taste of the Pinot Noir. The waiter said they do not allow tastings, which I found odd since it was a “house” wine with no name. I asked what if I didn’t like the glass of wine and his response was “that would be unfortunate”. In realizing that I could not taste the wine nor return it if I did not like it, I decided to just have water. I ordered the chopped salad with grilled chicken and my husband got the linguine with clams. It was an additional six dollars to add the chicken and the chicken was not freshly cooked, cool and dry to the point that it did not taste good. My husband’s linguine with clams was OK. Finishing our meal, the manager came to the table and stated that the waiter had said that I was upset with the wine policy. I responded that that was fine but I did not appreciate the way he responded to me and that it bordered on being rude. Her response to me was that it is their policy not to allow tastings and that she was surprised her waiter came across as rude because “he was not like that”. So basically on our first trip to this restaurant I had waiter who basically said your SOL if you don’t like your wine and a manager who entirely dismissed my interpretation of how his comment was received. Keep in mind that I was not the one who complained to anyone in management, they approached me. We were excited to try a new Italian restaurant in downtown Holly Springs and unfortunately this one left us pretty disappointed.
This place is AMAZING! From the atmosphere to the service to the food! If you are looking for some authentic Italian this is your place. I tried to get a photo of the lasagna before I started eating but I could not resist!
