This was such a nice lake so close to the city. The loop around the lake is approximately 2 miles and it's such a well maintained trail. The canoe rental is only 5 dollars an hour. You can apparently rent the lake house too. Will try to visit there more often.

Love this beautiful and tranquil park. It's great for walking. There are trails around the lake and it's ideal for observing nature. There's always a variety of birds and plants to enjoy. We also love the observatory deck and rocking chairs that overlook the lake. They allow fishing and kayaking, also. There's a small nature center that is perfect for small children to learn about animals. They have turtles, snakes and even hedgehogs! Great place to visit any time of day. Nice for a picnic or just relax. There's a small concession stand and a banquet room that can be reserved for events, as well. So glad that we found this lovely park!

Wasnt able to catch any fish today but I'll try again this summer, had fun teaching my boyfriend how to use a fishing rod and saw lots of ducks, ducklings, deer, fawns, and herons. The trail that goes all the way around the lake is really peaceful, great for hiking or dog walking, even just a casual stroll, just bring bug spray, you can thank me later.

Bass Lake Trail is a 1.9 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Holly Springs, North Carolina that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

One of the best lakes and retreat center that I have seen…the overlooking deck is beautiful, we spent hours sitting on the rocking chairs and watching the lake…we couldn’t go hiking due to weather but were told there’s a 2mile walking trail which we surely will come back to…they also have nature center for kids and grownups to learn more about the snakes, turtles and other wildlife; the center runs multiple events throughout…you can rent a boat, fish, etc …Also saw some free sourwood and black gum saplings…
